We know that the benefits of a landing page are endless! But conversion rates are even more important. Conversion rates can range from less than 1 percent to more than 50 percent, regardless of whether you are selling a product directly from the landing page, asking visitors to download something, or even just promoting a webinar or demo.

Increasing conversion rates is crucial as it is the foundation of high sales volume. Your goal is for your leads to sign-up, purchase, click something, or order something. Below are five ways on how to increase your landing page conversion rates.

  1. Build Credibility Early

People are learning how to be skeptical of any ad they see online because there are a lot of scams and shady operators behind these enticing advertisements. Therefore, your landing page copy should immediately overcome their doubt. Make sure there are one or more “credibility builders” prominently displayed on your landing page. Put your logo and company name at the top of the page for visitors to see at first glance. Then put a strong testimonial above the headline. You can also consider adding a sub tittle that summarized the company’s mission statement.

  1. Capture the Email Addresses of Non-buyers

Visitors do not always buy right away, even if they have the intent to do so. This is why it is important to capture this email address for a follow-up. To do this, you can use a window with a copy offering a free report or e-book in exchange for submitting their email address. Choose whether you want it as a pop-up (appears immediately as they arrive) or a pop-under (appears when the visitor attempts to leave without making an inquiry or purchase).

  1. Use Lots of Testimonials

Testimonials are important in building credibility and overcome skepticism. If you are hosting a webinar, as your attendees if they are willing to have a brief testimonial recorded on video. Hire a professional videographer to capture this and post it on your site as a streaming video. This helps in building credibility on your landing page.

  1. Use Bullets

Highlight important features and benefits in a bulleted list because it is easy to read and understand. Online buyers always like to think they’re getting a lot for their money, so it is important to highlight all major features and important benefits in a comprehensive bulleted list on your landing page. Conversion rates will definitely go up if you use bulleted lists to describe what you can offer to the visitors checking out your landing page.

  1. Create Curiosity in the Headline

The headline should instantly capture the attention of visitors. It should make a powerful promise to grab the readers’ attention and keep them reading the rest of your content. Also, be creative in formulating the headline, while making sure you convey a clear message to them. It is important that visitors should not feel scammed with the headline.
